Jhumki is the story of Mythili, who hails from atypical TamBam family in Chennai and moves to Mumbai in a long-awaited bid for independence. She promptly proceeds to fall in love with both the city and with Rudra, a photographer who embodies the bohemian vibe of the ‘City of Dreams’. The naive Mythili is swept away by Rudra’s charm, but the rosy feeling of first love couldn’t hide the thorns for too long. Rudra’s infidelity shatters Mythili, leading her into confusing questions about trust, blame, responsibility and love itself. Having lost her first love, will Mythili ever allow herself to love again?
