For many generations, women were worshipped as Devi on Earth, but ironically were left with feeble rights to take major decisions for their own family and society of which they were an integral part. When we thought of bringing out this anthology, we just wanted to merge many untold feelings of women with our own voices. We decided to take a firm step to ensure that our poignant verses are audible to the deaf ears of the so-called progressive society. Thus came to light this poetic beauty, VASUDHA! We the women here have gathered countless stories of immense importance that the world must hear. There is no gender-based discrimination here. All that we proclaim is we are neither superior nor inferior to men; rather men and women are perfect complements to each other. The diverse voices in this book represent the smothered and unheard voices of many, thus making it an incredible piece of art.
